There's something in the air or water at Northwood Volunteer Band at the moment with two new arrivals within days of each other. Congratulations go to Sally Marshall on the birth of Edward and to Dave Matthews and Lisa on the birth of their third daughter Katie. |

Northwood Head Quarters Band is currently looking for new players of all standards to join us. The Band rehearses on a Monday and Wednesday and performs in and around the Northwood area. If you play an instrument we would love to here from you, especially if you are a Brass player. We have received many letters of congratulations for our recent concert at Emmanuel Church, here are just some of the comments….“What a wonderful concert! The band excelled themselves with a really impressive repertoire and fine music”….“Yesterday was brilliant! The programme was excellent and it was obvious that both bands and the audience had a wonderful time, thank you”…” Last night was brilliant. What a polished performance…we had a really great time.” Thank you to everyone who came along and supported us, photos from the concert can be viewed here. It is hoped that this concert will become a regular event in the bands calendar so watch this space…. |

Northwood HQ and HMS Heron Volunteer Bands have been invited to perform a concert at Emmanuel Church, High Street, Northwood on Thursday 29th March 2007. This will be the first time the two bands have performed together in the London area and will be similar to the very successful concerts they have performed at the Fleet Air Arm Museum. The programme of music will be extremely varied with marches, overtures, big band & film music. Tickets are now available from Northwood Volunteer Band (01923) 833190 or from Emmanuel Church (01923) 845202 and are priced at £5.00. |

Once again Northwood Volunteer Band will be travelling down to the West Country to perform at The Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm Museum Yeovilton. The concert will take place on Thursday the 13th of December 2007 and there are a few remaining tickets to see Northwood Head Quarters and HMS Heron Volunteer bands perform under the super setting Concorde! |
